Pre-K Teacher Job Opening at Magic Garden Children’s Center in Lincoln, Massachusetts
Magic Garden Children’s Center is a non-profit organization serving children ages 15 months to 5 years of age. We provide exceptional care and education for children and families in Lincoln, and surrounding towns including Bedford, Concord, Lexington, Maynard, Somerville, Sudbury, Waltham, Wayland, and Weston. We are conveniently located 1 mile from the Lincoln Commuter Rail, and 2 miles from Routes 2 and 95.
Magic Garden is open year round, including during public school vacation weeks and 9 weeks during the summer. Our 12-month program is open from 7:30 am – 6 pm Monday through Friday. Magic Garden offers competitive wages and a compensation package that is based on years of work experience in the Field of Early Education and Care, amount of education and degrees obtained, and EEC Certification level.
We seek to hire two dynamic, warm-hearted, full-time EEC PS/ IT Certified Educators.
Position One: Pre-K Teacher, full time.
Working in a team teaching position 35 – 40 hours per week. The children in this classroom are ages 4 and 5 years. Based on enrollment needs, 3 year-olds are enrolled in this classroom. Magic Garden implements our own Curriculum Frameworks that are in alignment with and exceed EEC, DOE, and NAEYC Standards. Curriculum is theme based and emergent based on the children’s interests. A tremendous amount of time is spent outdoors in all weather conditions. Walking field trips to the many local resources and involvement in Community Organizations and events are a regular part of our practice. Though assigned to one classroom, supporting the overall success of the Organization is an important part of this position.
Position Two: Floating Teacher, full time.
The hours for this position are 35 – 40 hours per week and will fluctuate between the following schedules: 8 – 4, 8:30 – 4:30, 9 – 5, 10 – 6. Schedules will be available one week in advance. Individuals applying for this position must be available between the hours of 8 am – 6 pm Monday through Friday and occasionally available for a 7:30 am starting time. The Floating Teacher will work in all 4 of our classrooms, ensuring EEC ratios, providing support where needed and will cover Faculty vacations and absences. Though assigned to multiple classrooms, supporting the overall success of the Organization is an important part of this position.
