Camille Reifers Civil Defense Attorney
Camille Reifers earned her J.D. from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1998 and her B.A. from Mississippi State University in 1996, and has spent her entire career building a practice centered on trying cases. She is admitted in Mississippi, Arkansas, and additional jurisdictions, with federal court admission across multiple district and circuit courts.
Her path from associate to equity managing partner reflects consistent growth as a trial practitioner. Prior to co-founding RHP, she served on the Executive Committee of a national civil litigation firm, overseeing high-exposure defense work and shaping firm-wide litigation strategy. She co-founded Reifers Holmes & Peters LLC to build a firm aligned with her values: minority-owned, trial-focused, and built around attorneys who are prepared to walk into any courtroom and try a case.

Practice Areas & Specializations
Camille Reifers attorney concentrates her practice on civil defense litigation in high-exposure cases where the stakes are substantial and the value of a seasoned litigator is critical. Her areas of practice include transportation defense, insurance defense, trucking defense, wrongful death defense, toxic exposure litigation, eminent domain and construction law, and whistleblower and employment litigation under the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, and the Equal Pay Act.
Across these disciplines, Reifers is known for thorough case investigation — including hands-on site visits to client facilities — and a willingness to take cases to verdict rather than simply managing toward settlement. She maintains a strong record of pre-trial dismissals and summary judgment results, and regularly advises clients through complex, multi-million dollar negotiations. Most recently, she secured a defense verdict in a high-exposure civil case tried in Cook County.
Founding a Trial-First Firm
Reifers Holmes & Peters LLC reflects Camille Reifers’s conviction that the best civil defense firms are built by attorneys who actually try cases. As Managing Partner, she oversees the firm’s civil litigation practice across multiple offices and jurisdictions, sets the firm’s strategic direction, and remains an active first-chair litigator. The firm serves insurers, corporations, and institutional clients facing high-exposure civil litigation, with particular strength in transportation and insurance defense.
