Caroline Veahman is an Outdoor and Nature Enthusiast… and an aspiring farmer! She’s already well on her way to making the last part a reality. Located in Granby, CT, Veahman is in the process of developing her own homesteading farm. Growing up in the New England suburbs of Connecticut, Veahman always dreamed of one day buying her own land and starting a farm. Now, she is living out her dreams as she works to develop her own piece of land in Connecticut into the farm she has always wanted.
Produce Farming
Caroline Veahman’s farm in Granby, CT is not currently open to the public. The goal of the farm is to become self-sustainable and self-sufficient. Veahman has developed the land to be suitable for growing fruits and vegetables. In the future, she hopes to invite her neighbors, friends and family members to her farm for fun autumn activities. Growing up in New England, the fall outdoor activities have always been what called the Veahman family to visit local farms. One day, Caroline hopes to offer all the work at her farm, from a public pumpkin patch for picking to tasty treats like apple cider donuts.
Diving Dogs
Caroline Veahman’s fruit and vegetable produce farm is flourishing! In the future, she hopes to add livestock to the property. Veahman would love to have goats and cows for milking, chickens for eggs and so much more! For now, the only animals on her farm are her three brilliant, helpful canines. More than just livestock and a step above pets, Veahman’s dogs are working dogs. But they’re also diving dogs, too! Diving dogs is a fun canine sport where dogs dive to retrieve toys in a body of water, for sport. Veahman has trained and competed with her dogs at the local level.
