Chance White Eyes is an Inaugural Director of Tribal Relations and an enrolled member of the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin. The Researcher and Speaker is a trusted communicator between Leaders of Tribal Nations and educators in Postsecondary Education at OSU and surrounding academic institutions.
Postsecondary Education Professional Chance White Eyes is a diversely educated individual. His direct connections to the Indigenous community and Tribal Nations are at the core of his personal and professional lives. In his work, White Eyes draws on Indigenous research methodologies and focuses a great deal of his research on Indigenous success at the Postsecondary Education level. Since Fall 2023, Chance White Eyes has stood as Inaugural Director of Tribal Relations at OSU. He is also an enrolled member of the Oneida Tribe of Wisconsin.

Chance White Eyes, Inaugural Director of Tribal Relations at OSU, is based in Eugene, Oregon. Through his role as Director of Tribal Relations, White Eyes embraces continuous opportunities for research and learning. He is particularly proud to hold this role as he is not only an enrolled member of the Oneida Tribe, but also an alumnus of OSU. He maintains his Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy, as well as a Doctorate degree in Critical and Socio-Cultural Studies in Education.
Career in Postsecondary Education
As of Fall 2023, Chance White Eyes stands as Inaugural Director of Tribal Relations at OSU. In this role, White Eyes has established and maintained mutually trusting, collaborative and beneficial relationships between Leaders of Tribal nations and Postsecondary Education Professionals and Educators in the community. He is actively engaged in the application of Indigenous research methodologies; particularly in relation to a focus on education policy and Indigenous success in Postsecondary Education. White Eyes additionally worked as an Educational Consultant on an independent basis. In this capacity, he facilitates development of Postsecondary Education programs and ensures full accordance with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI), social issues, human rights and global issues consideration.
