Daniel Hewes, East Hampton health and fitness consultant, is passionate about promoting green eating. Based in NYC, Daniel’s approach to nutrition takes on a grab-and-go style that fits the busy city lifestyle.
Personal Training
In Daniel Hewes’s experience, personal training is equal parts exercise and nutrition focused. His own brand of personal training reflects this perspective by offering packages that balance both the physical and food related areas of fitness. Initially starting out as a personal trainer at a local gym, Daniel learned the ropes from veterans of the industry. What he realized early on was that physical fitness ultimately has very little to do with exercise and training. While keeping up with your routine in the gym is always important, it almost takes a backseat to other areas of health, such as nutrition. In fact, without proper focus on nutrition and diet, even the most dedicated athlete can fail at excelling in the gym. Daniel knows this because he has seen it himself! It’s a lesson he has carried with him in the development of his own brand of personal training, which blends a healthy balance of routine exercise with focused nutrition plans and meal prep.
Green Eating Advocate
Daniel Hewes is a fierce proponent of green eating, or the dietary and lifestyle choice to consume a plant-rich diet. Green eating does not require one to only consume fruits and vegetables, however. Daniel explains that it also allows you to consume ethically raised animal products, which he enjoys incorporating into his own diet. As a Health Consultant and Personal Trainer, Daniel is happy to offer Green Eating Meal Prep services. Through these services, he is able to assist his clients in the process of preparing meals ahead of time that incorporate green eating elements and ingredients. This is particularly valuable to newcomers of the diet who may not be sure where to begin. Green Eating encourages buying local and supporting local food sources, which is a sustainability perk that Daniel is particularly proud of. Contrary to popular belief, it is also very easy to adapt this diet for an on-the-go approach. Eating healthy doesn’t have to be complicated!
