MLB Fan Blog
For as long as he can remember, Gianmarco Castronovo has been a baseball fan. Now, as a Sports Blogger, the fan is completely enveloped in all things baseball — so much so, he considers himself to be more of a baseball enthusiast than a fan! Each season of the MLB, he keeps up with his favorite teams, like the Yankees. Castronovo embraces all bases of the game, soaking up all the updates he can by reading articles, listening to podcasts and adding to his card collection. He also enjoys traveling to MLB stadiums for a good old fashioned ball game steeped in sports history!
In 2019, Gianmarco Castronovo joined forces with a friend to launch a blog called Holden’s Sports Talk. As a Lead Contributor for this project, Castronovo is developing his skills as a Writer and Sports Blogger. Observing the game through a lens that balances enthusiasm and fanaticism, Gianmarco’s sports blogging is about more than just his love for the game of baseball. His articles, like “MLB is Dying Very Slowly, Unless Something Changes,” take on an opinionated and analytical angle by discussing larger concepts at play. As the project continues, Castronovo looks forward to following the latest updates in the MLB and the game overall.
While Gianmarco Castronovo would love to lead a career in the sports industry, he’s also interested in a variety of other fields, such as marketing, finance, economics and business management. Currently, he works as a Driver and Manager at Santino’s Ristorante, a role which has introduced him to the basics of business management operations. Balancing his responsibilities at Santino’s has recently inspired Castronovo to pursue a career in the area of business management. Over the last few years, his baseball focused blog has grown substantially, with a new post out each week. He currently maintains two series; one covering all things MLB and another discussing his passion for collecting sports cards. The experience has encouraged the writer to consider diving deeper into this route as a potential career field.
