Harold Bettencourt’s ranching roots ran deep! Introduced to cattle ranching at a young age, Bettencourt had mastered the process over the years. Raising grazing livestock was a labor of love for this outdoorsman, who fully embraced the agricultural lifestyle. As a Cattle Rancher, Bettencourt took pride in balancing assertiveness with compassion. Treating the process as an operation with humanity, he cared for his livestock on a personal level. Bettencourt was a huge proponent and supporter of guest ranches. Also known as dude ranches, these agritourism experiences introduce non-ranchers to the arduous and fulfilling practice of cattle ranching.
Hunter
An all-around outdoorsman and outdoor enthusiast, Harold Bettencourt also loved hunting. Specifically, his sights were set on game the likes of deer and elk. Perfecting his skill and approach as a hunter was quite the rewarding experience! He enjoyed utilizing the sport as a way to get away from his day-to-day responsibilities. Always respectful, Bettencourt hunted with a clear understanding of his game’s purpose. He would often tap into the negative discourse surrounding hunting by opening up a conversation on the positive impact hunting has on the environment.
