Since the late 1960s, Henry Baskin has been with the Baskin Law Firm working with individuals involved in the film, music, TV, publishing, advertising, news media, and sports scene in Michigan. He has worked with major icons including Marvin Gaye, Barbra Streisand, Martha and the Vandellas, The Miracles, and The Temptations. He has represented nearly all of Detroit’s on-air television talent including stars like Jack LeGoff, Bill Bonds, Marilyn Turner, John Kelly, Joe Glover, and Beverly Payne. Baskin has also negotiated broadcasting rights for both the Detroit Red Wings and the Detroit Tigers.
Alongside his successful career as a lawyer, Henry Baskin has also gained great success as a host of a popular local television program, Due Process. Due Process is an award winning show and one of the longest running programs in Michigan television history with over 20 seasons. The show features expert lawyers and other prominent public figures who discuss common and relevant legal issues while offering advice to viewers. Topics on the show have included drunk driving laws, patent law, suing your doctor, filing a grievance against your landlord, understanding the rights of the elderly, and much more.
Outside of his professional career, Henry Baskin is also passionate about giving back to his community. Over the years, Baskin has dedicated much of his time working with a number of charities and organizations, particularly family and children’s charities.
