As Co-Owner of Yaar Sports League, Jag Rai brings a lifelong passion for youth basketball and athlete development to one of the most dynamic community sports programs. Yaar Sports offers skill development clinics, agility coaching, 3v3 and spring leagues and athlete training programs designed to help young players thrive both on and off the court. Whether through basketball drills, group training, or sports mentorship, Jag Rai builds confident athletes who value teamwork, resilience and dedication.

Beyond the court, Jag Rai is a Positive Mindset Coach helping athletes unlock peak performance. Drawing on proven confidence-building techniques, visualization routines and focus strategies, he equips players to bounce back from failure, thrive under pressure and cut through the noise with clarity. The goal: a strong mind that powers a fearless game and an unstoppable you.
Athletic Development Trainer
As an Athletic Development Trainer, Jag Rai designs sport-specific training plans that integrate explosive strength training, plyometrics, functional movement and injury prevention strategies. From speed and agility drills to strength and conditioning, mobility and endurance development, these programs are tailored for youth athletes aiming to boost power, flexibility and overall performance.
South Asian Community Engagement
Proudly Punjabi Canadian and actively involved in the Sikh community, Jag Rai champions cultural diversity in sports. He engages with local Gurudwaras, celebrates Punjabi music and traditions and serves as a positive role model for South Asian youth in Canada — proving that cultural heritage and athletic ambition go hand in hand.
Volunteer
Jag Rai is an active volunteer with Enlightened Health and the Anti-Racism Advisory Committee. Through his volunteerism, Rai uses sports as a bridge for community engagement, athlete well-being and equity in athletics. In addition, his work with Canadian Fine Homes reflects hands-on expertise in residential construction, from electrical and insulation to drywall, finishes and small home improvement projects.
