Janel Schermerhorn is a recent MSc Student of the University of Edinburgh. Schermerhorn completed her Master of Science (MSc) in Data, Inequality and Society in 2024. This pursuit shaped the foundation of her professional understanding of data ethics, equity, inclusion and the decolonization of data.

Janel Schermerhorn is a Podcast Producer. Schermerhorn launched her debut podcast in 2020, during the height of the coronavirus / Covid-19 pandemic and associated lockdowns. At a time when moms around the world were grappling with making sense of their new normal, Schermerhorn decided to open a welcoming conversation.
