Jeff Longtain proudly proclaims himself to be a professional committed to lifelong learning. This is achieved through both formal and informal educational pursuits. His alma maters include Treasure Valley CC (1978), Chico State (1980), OSU (1982) and Corvallis High School (1976). In his free time, Longtain keeps up with current affairs in the health & medical industry, as well as the startup sphere, by reading inspirational stories written by the world’s biggest entrepreneurs.

Pushing for innovation has set the course of Jeff Longtain’s career from the very beginning. Embracing an entrepreneurial energy, Longtain has worked with various startups over the years. Primarily, his work in startups has focused on the retail and manufacturing corners of the health & medical industry. Over the years, he has spearheaded strategic initiatives for startups as an owner and operator. Now, he’s embracing that role as a consultant with his business consulting group, JLL Consultants. Established in 2016, JLL Consultants provides critical consulting services to retailers and manufacturers within the healthcare industry. Working directly with startups and established ventures, Longtain and his team of consultants assist in implementing the current best business practices. As a professional who strives to keep up with what’s innovative, the consultant also helps his clients integrate completely new concepts into their approaches in retailing, manufacturing and distribution.
Personal Interests
Outside of his professional work, Jeff Longtain is passionate about supporting women’s lacrosse. Specifically, Longtain is a particularly big fan and supporter of OSU’s women’s lacrosse team. He excitedly follows their season each year! An avid outdoor enthusiast, he also enjoys hiking and traveling by adventurous means from cycling to boating and everything in between. When possible, Longtain enjoys supporting nonprofit organizations that protect wildlife habitats and advocate for environmental sustainability.
