She has studied alongside sommeliers in Paris, France and Napa Valley, California, learning the introductory points of a true wine tasting. Rodgers is exceptionally well-versed in the basic steps, which include ‘drinking in the wine’ with respect to the scent, visual and flavor. As an amateur chef, Rodgers is especially interested in food and wine pairings. Her appreciation for the different and unique flavor notes present in wines often directs her dish choices.
