Transportation & Logistics Entrepreneur
Founder — Link Delivery
Lisa Steed entered the trucking and logistics industry at a time when women in transportation were rare — especially in ownership and leadership roles. Undeterred, she co-founded Link Delivery Incorporated after purchasing FedEx contracting rights for two zip codes. Serving as Chief Operations Officer (COO) and Board Member, Steed helped build one of the station’s only woman-owned transportation companies.
At the time, there were only four women working on the delivery side of the station, including Lisa Steed and her business partner. Under her leadership, Link Delivery became a proving ground for what women entrepreneurs in trucking could accomplish.
Lisa Steed proudly adopts an “in-the-trenches” leadership style in her management of her entrepreneurial endeavors. Steed has never asked employees to do anything she hasn’t done herself. A capable expert in transportation & logistics, Steed is well-acquainted with driving routes and managing operations on the frontline. This sense of understanding has solidified employee loyalty, trust, and operational excellence within Link Delivery.
