Lonson Becker is esteemed by a career steeped in unique experiences. He has previously worked as a Business Analyst and now has his sights set on working Blockchain Technology. Becker aspires to complete his Series 7 certification in his overall career quest to become proficient in executing smart contracts. He is currently developing on his skillset in this avenue by refining his expertise in the Solidity Programming Language on the Ethereum blockchain.
Lonson Becker is an accomplished athlete. Up until his graduation in 2006, Becker played football for Staples High School. During his time on the team, he played as Running Back and Defensive Lineman. Becker’s high school athletic career was polished with an array of highlights and awards, including 1st Team All-State, 1st Team All-FCIAC, and 1st Team All-Area. The team also won 3 state championships.
After graduating high school, Lonson Becker went on to play football for Ithaca College, before transferring to UMass Amherst. In 2008, Becker and his fellow Ithaca College Bombers made it to the first round of the NCAA playoffs. Today, Becker embraces the sport of football as a fan and supporter, but still enjoys picking up a game whenever he can!
U.S. Navy Veteran
Lonson Becker is a proud veteran of the United States Navy. During his time in the military, Becker was deployed to the Persian Gulf where he participated in Operation Enduring Freedom. His military career was incredibly formative for the veteran, both personally and professionally. His four years in the Navy were incredibly fulfilling, but the experience is far from over for this veteran. Today, Becker continues to proudly support his brothers and sisters in the Armed Forces, including active and reserve members, as well as fellow veterans. Going forward, he hopes to volunteer with more organizations that directly support veterans in the process of readjust to civilian life.
Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW)
Lonson Becker is a member of the VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars) organization. Having been deployed to the Persian Gulf during his own military career, the experiences of his fellow VFW members resonate deeply with Becker.
A unifying network, VFW is the largest and oldest organization of United States military veterans who have fought for their country on foreign soil. Becker is proud to be a part of his local community’s VFW chapter.
