Shawn Costello is a PGA Master Professional and proud Class A Member of PGA of America. He currently stands as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Coldstream Country Club.
For Shawn Costello, golf is a passion that turned into a profession — both by default and design! As far back as he can remember, golf has been Costello’s focus. As the story goes for many, his bond with the sport was born out of leisure and love for the game. The young golfer grew up looking up to legends like Nick Faldo and Tiger Woods as the athletes took the PGA World Tour by storm — time and time again. To say the least, Costello has been hooked on his hobby for nearly his entire life! Having by now established himself as a Class A Member of PGA, his passion for golf has truly maintained at the core of his focus.
PGA Master Professional
Shawn Costello proudly maintains Class A Member status within the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) of America. In fact, Costello was the first person in the PGA to achieve advanced Certification in every program offered by the organization. To note, he has successfully completed PGA Certifications in:
- Golf Operations
- General and Executive Management
- Teaching & Coaching
- Player Development
Constantly evolving in tandem with the PGA (and the sport of golf), Shawn Costello anticipates refining his expertise through more Certifications in the coming years. As of right now, he is working towards becoming a PGA Master Professional.
Golfer’s Giving Back
An active member of his community, Shawn Costello enjoys supporting his neighbors when he can. Alongside his PGA Professional colleagues, Costello has participated in numerous charitable efforts over the years. During the holiday season, the South Florida PGA has been known to bring holiday cheer to young patients at Palm Beach Children’s Hospital in the past. eSouthernGOLF covered the story on their 2018 visit, which Costello was happy to be a part of!
