Before Stan Loomis became one of the most successful medical pharmacists in Orlando, Florida, he was playing the drums fervently in hopes to be a rock star. He grew up in Orlando, where he played competitive baseball as a young boy and played the drums in his high school rock band. He became very passionate about music. He was in several bands throughout high school and college, and went on to be considered the best rock band drummer in central Florida. Playing music in his band sustained his income until his 3rd year of college. He then decided to enroll into Pharmacy School at Florida A&M University.
Stan Loomis began his college career in Aviation with the hopes to one day be operating airplanes. It was during the Vietnam War that he decided to change his career path. He enrolled in Valencia College in Orlando and graduated with an Associate in Science. He then went after his Bachelors in Pharmacy at Florida A&M University. After graduation, Stan Loomis passed the Pharmacy Boards with flying colors and began his fruitful career as a Registered Pharmacist.
Stan Loomis has had a very prosperous career. He was considered an expert in the pharmacy field, especially in retail pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, and children’s hospital pharmacy. It all began when he started his first job as Pharmacy Manager at Walgreens in Orlando, Florida. It only took him five years to open his own drug store, Loomis Drug Stories, which eventually expanded into seven locations. Stan Loomis was the sole owner and operator of the drug stores for 12 years before he sold them and joined the Healthcare System as a pharmacist, consultant, manager, and director. In 2000, Stan Loomis opened his second business, Signature Pharmacy. The business took off and quickly grew to over 27 million dollars in annual revenue in just 7 years. In 2009, Stan Loomis sold Signature Pharmacy and joined the Olympia Pharmacy in Orlando as an independent Pharmacy Consultant. Stan Loomis is member of the PCCA and IACP.
