Through his work with Atlas Bold, Allen strives to eliminate homelessness in the community by expanding the area’s affordable housing options. It is his belief, as well as that of Atlas Bold, that affordable housing is the most effective way to prevent homelessness and guarantee security of a place to live. A supporter of clean energy, Allen is also passionate about advocating for the reduction of carbon usage.

An active member of his community, Allen Chi has always been passionate about helping neighbors in need when he can. His community consciousness is something he considers to be a core part of his identity. Over the years, Allen has supported numerous nonprofit organizations for local causes. What he has noticed is that some causes come and go. In a way, this is perfectly positive! It means that the needs of those causes have been met and their goals fulfilled. But no matter how many causes one issue in particular continues to impact almost every community. That issue is the matter of homelessness.
Allen Chi is particularly passionate about dismantling the stigma surrounding homelessness. Too often, individuals surviving through such hardship are cast aside by society. At the same time, too many people fail to realize that homelessness comes in many forms. As families struggle to make ends meet, some are facing the very real problem of potentially losing their homes. Even if they do not lose their homes, they may sacrifice other needs like health and food for the security of a place to live. This is why Allen believes strongly that affordable housing is the answer to homelessness.
