Allen Frantzen is an author and retired educator with interests in reading, writing, music, boxing, history, and travel.
Before establishing his long and successful career as a professor, Allen Frantzen attended Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa from 1965 to 1969. Here, Allen earned his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating magna cum laude and earning the J.J. O’Connor Award as an outstanding member of his senior class. While studying at Loras College, Frantzen also worked as an editor of the campus newspaper and was a contributing writer for the school’s literary magazine.
Over the course of his career and up through his retirement, Allen Frantzen has been involved in writing and editing numerous publications for a variety of platforms. While Allen has written on many subjects over the years, he has a particular focus on history, especially World War I and the Middle Ages.
