Carman Dragone is a creative individual with a passion for pageantry arts. Dragone stands as Founder and President of the Musical Arts Conference and Assistant Band Director of the Trumbull High School Marching Band.
Carman Dragone is energized by creativity and driven by determination! For the majority of his life, Dragone has been actively involved with pageantry arts. In fact, he considers this vibrant area of entertainment to be one of the cornerstones of his life — and integral to his identity. Dragone’s involvement with the pageantry arts and entertainment as a whole goes all the way back to his boyhood days. Growing up, he participated in his high school’s marching band, color guard and indoor percussion extracurricular activities. Today, Dragone continues to embrace these areas by instructing high school musicians and marching band members.
Assistant Director of Trumbull HS Marching Band
For nearly three decades, Carman Dragone has served Trumbull High School as the Assistant Director of the Marching Band. A role that comes naturally to this lifelong band enthusiast, Dragone fully embraces the opportunity! He deeply values the chance this position gives him to positively impact the lives of the students who make up the Trumbull High School community. Throughout his time as Assistant Director, Dragone has been honored to receive three service recognitions from the Trumbull Board of Education for his commitment to the school’s marching band program.
Musical Arts Conference
Carman Dragone is the Founder and President of the Musical Arts Conference, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that nurtures a positive and creativity-infused educational experience. MAC is a coalition of music educators who are dedicated to enriching the experience of high school students involved in pageantry arts. Dragone is proud of his work with the nonprofit, which hosts a variety of programs throughout the year for MAC members. Competitions include winter guard, marching band, winter percussion, concert band and jazz ensemble.
