Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. worked for the State Highway Department as a Surveyor. In this role, Ivan surveyed bridges to be built on Interstate 40 and I-85. He additionally worked for a private company as a Surveyor. He now draws on his multitude of experience on a consulting basis.
US Navy Veteran
Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. is a proud US Navy Veteran. During his military service, Ivan served his country on the USS Forrestal. His responsibilities included planning support for the landing of aircraft on the USS Forrestal ship. For two years, Ivan fought for his country during the Vietnam War. This experience instilled strong pillars of teamwork and camaraderie in Ivan’s character, both as a person and as a professional. He carries lessons from his Vietnam War Service into his daily life, as well as his lifelong career in entrepreneurship as a small business owner.
After serving in the US Navy for two years, Ivan Buxton Gay Jr. took on a role in the Reserves. For four additional years, Ivan served his country in the US Navy Reserves, where he was able to be close to his loved ones after years of being away.
