Maits graduated in the Top 5 Percentile at Automotive Training Center (ATC). The ATC graduate went on to become a recognized name in motorsports and high performance driving.

Randy Maits is a high performance driving enthusiast. Maits has participated in numerous motorsports racing events, as a Driver and as a Driving Instructor. His time on the track is marked by exhilarating races in NASA Road Racing, including his time as an American Iron Driver. As an Entrepreneur, Maits has launched numerous initiatives in the auto and road racing spaces. Maits is the Owner of Sideways Motorsports and an active vintage car collector. His personal and professional lives have revolved around motorsports in every facet. Maits’s passion for road racing thrives in the worlds of kart racing, autocross and high performance driving.
NASA Road Racing (National Auto Sports Association)
The National Auto Sports Association (NASA), founded in 1991, is a motorsports organization best known for its high performance driver education programs and automotive racing events.
Randy Maits has participated in NASA Road Racing events as a participant / driver and as Driving Instructor. Maits is backed by 15+ years of on-track motorsports experience and maintains an active NASA competition license. A former American Iron Driver, Maits raced in the 2010 NASA American Iron Mid Atlantic Region VIR Race with a lap record of 2:08.7. Maits finished 1st place at the 2009 Hyperfest, also hosted by NASA Road Racing.
