Theresa McCarty is an environmentalist, both personally and professionally. As a Senior Consultant and a Research Fellow with the Department of Natural Resources & Environment in Boston, MA, she’s working diligently to advocate for the earth’s environment and its inhabitants.
In her view, the conversation on climate change must be brought to the forefront. That’s why she’s focusing her career on highlighting sustainable green energy initiatives for the benefit of all.

Theresa McCarty holds three degrees and a certificate, all maintaining a clear focus of Environmental Management. Specifically, she has earned qualifications in the following concentrations from Middlebury College, Stanford University and the University of New Hampshire, respectively:

Achieving fluency in Chinese has enabled Theresa McCarty to expand the climate change conversation to the international level. A universal issue that impacts all nations, she aims to encourage other countries, and their leaders, to develop sustainable green energy initiatives. In Beijing, China, the environmentalist presented research and findings relevant to her work with CT Green Bank. Joined by Sheryl Foo, she discussed the concept of a green financial ecosystem while drawing on various global energy and climate challenges.
While in China, Theresa McCarty immersed herself in her research regarding China’s relationship with Climate Change. This research resulted in her publication of an article for Women Advocates for Transforming Energy & Resources (WATER).

Prior to assuming the role of Senior Consultant and Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Department of Natural Resources & Environment, Theresa McCarty built her career with various other roles in the environmental policy field. Previous experiences include:
