J. Benjamin Quinton is an Art Teacher and Photography Instructor who enjoys traveling the world in his free time. He is currently based in Kansas and available for freelance art and photography lessons.
Freelance Art Teacher & Photography Instructor
Benjamin Quinton believes that anyone can be an artist or photographer. All you have to do is start creating! A lifelong Nature Photographer who prefers capturing raw images and unedited photos of natural scenery, Quinton embraces the artistic beauty of the outdoors. For years, he has taught basic photography courses that introduce his students to the basics of how to use a DSLR (digital single-lens reflex) camera. He is also available on a freelance basis to provide basic instruction on how to use the most popular photo editing software, like Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop. As someone who learned photography on a film camera, Quinton prefers creating art with raw images that do not require editing. But as an instructor, he is happy to teach anyone how they can enhance their own photos and videos with light edits.
World Traveler
Benjamin Quinton didn’t always consider himself to be an artist or photographer. It all started when he decided to take a trip to Europe after being inspired by nature focused documentaries by iconic documentarian David Attenborough. Quinton initially traveled in hopes of seeing unique animals and landscapes up close and in person. But it wasn’t long before he realized that the trip would be a whole lot better if he captured the scenes in front of him. Quinton purchased his first film camera and started to take photos throughout his trip. By the end, he not only had a wonderful assortment of visual memories to take back home, but he also found a new hobby! He has been in love with taking photos ever since and now considers himself to be an avid nature photographer. Quinton enjoys taking international trips with the focus of capturing new photos and videos for his own documentaries.
