It’s safe to say that technology has been a focus for Jody Royer, both personally and professionally, for as long as he can remember. Growing up, Royer spent a lot of his time playing video games, reading sci fi novels and building custom computers. Today, he keeps up with the latest tech products, including the current best practices in Information Technology (IT) to diagnose any problems that come up. But the truth is, Jody’s passion for science and technology began in fiction. He always found himself drawn to the stories that featured out-of-this-world tech. At least at the time anyway! Now, so many of the science fiction technologies that fascinated Jody as a kid have become everyday items in the real world. From smartwatches to self-driving cars, the list goes on of SciFi props that have become real tech in our world today! So in that way, his passions for science and technology and literature crossover.
